The Guild - Calgary, Alberta

We went to this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. The location is excellent, The decor, open kitchen concept, patio, and atmosphere are great. Bathrooms are in the basement (I suggest ladies and children always go with a companion). Service is OK, the food needs improvement. Came here recently for a special dinner. The atmosphere is amazing and the service is awesome. The food is delicious and the portions are just right! I went with the pork belly for my dinner because it sounded interesting, and the flavors were amazing! The meat was melt in your ... mouth. We chose to share a dessert, and I would definitely recommend the cheesecake, delicious and perfect sharing size. The cocktails are also very delicious, if you're wanting to give those a try as well and you like some alcohol with your evening. Surely, the Guild is the best place for fine dining, fancy date nights, or special occasions. We celebrated our 2 years of marriage at the Guild. It was worth it. Compared to other fine dining establishments, I often left disappointed because for such high prices, the food was often bland ... or too salty, or the steak was not done properly. But for the very first time, my wife and I were extremely happy about the food, drinks, service and ambiance. We really enjoyed our time at the Guild. Read more

All the food, including the cocktails she recommended, was delicious and I enjoyed my stay here. It is the best place. We will visit again as soon as possible. In the end, she gave stickers to my children. Mothers would know. Stickers are such a big gift to them. Thank you^^

It was such a beautiful day to walk along Stephen Avenue, and we saw the Guild when our tummies were grumbling. We got the Fried Mac & Cheese and Crispy Calamari to start. My daughter loved the fried logs of mac & cheese. The Crispy Calamari had a lot of flavor, ... and the batter was light to the point that it came off easily. The Lavender Lemonade was very well made. My wife liked her Sunset Fizz. For mains, we shared the Guild Burger and added House-Smoked Bacon. The burger was delicious and heavy. The fries were crispy and heavily salted. We also ordered the Baked Meatballs. This was a fantastic dish with a very nice tomato sauce. We also added a side of fries in case the kids want more. Personally, the fries were pricey given that it was the same amount as those that came with the burger. Finally, we finished with the Lemon Meringue. It was just the right amount of tartness.
