I recently dined at a Spice Kitchen and was blown away by the quality of the food. The tandoori dishes were cooked to perfection, and the spices used in the curries were just right. Service is definitely a problem here and on a Sunday night when they were barely busy. We attempted to order two different naan breads as appetizers as they were clearly listed as individual items. The waitress told us we had to order them with certain meals that she pointed to ... on the meal. We showed her the separate price on the menu and she walked away. When she returned and asked for our order we again said we wanted the naan separately and wanted other meals. She took the order and while one dish arrived quickly, it was about 10 minutes for the other to arrive. In the meantime, the otherwise quiet restaurant started blasting, and I do mean blasting, Indian music. I immediately asked if they could turn it down and it took several minutes for them to do so. Horrible! Avoid this place. We ordered two lamb biriyani’s and one chicken biriyani. What we got is plain rice with some meat in it. It was just so plain, no spice, no flavour. Never had anything like this. I asked the waitress if it’s always like this biriyani cooked without a ... bit of gravy. She has no customer service skills at all. We had to wait 45 mins or even longer only to get served something like this. We only had two bites and decided to leave. She never cared to ask if everything’s okay. I had to go up to her ask about it. Didn’t even hear a “sorry you didn’t like it”. This can’t be called a biriyani. It’s just plain rice with some masala powder on top and meat. Read more

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in heart of Abbotsford. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. Pleasantly surprised by the amazing quality of food! Take outs are generally not great, specially the Rotis getting hard! I did a take out of Dal Makhani, Kadhai Paneer, and Rotis. I was not sure if rotis will stay soft, but I was told our rotis are soft and they ... don’t go bad! And they were right! 😊 One of the best Indian foods I have had in Canada, hands down!
