Great place, lovely decor and high quality furnishings, I love the Vancouver Cheesecake with mango sauce The men's restroom has a metal plate cover on the wall and another cover around a water line which both have rust stains and need some vigorous scrubbing with a mild abrasive The floor drain looks ... like it needs to be unscrewed and properly cleaned. I was really excited to order a custom made German Chocolate cake for a friend's special birthday. On the order, I even specified to make sure it was actual German Chocolate. When I picked up, I was a little disheartened it was all white icing, but it was finished nicely ... so I assumed it would make up for it on the inside. It did not. The cake was dry and the layer inside was simply white icing with some coconut and almonds, not German Chocolate filling. I could have made the same cake (actually, not as dry) for a lot less than the $50.00 I spent on this underwhelming cake. A warning for others! Response to owner's response: Then please don't advertise German Chocolate when it is NOT German Chocolate. That was not custom, it was an option you gave. I added in the comment to make sure it was German Chocolate, so you could have contacted me if it wasn't. And your response says it all to your client base! Very sad. I hope others see this as a warning. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Your response also doesn't explain the dry cake... GO TO TRACY CAKES or REDDY MADE CAKES - customer service is 10x better (although, anywhere would be after this). Read more

Ordered 2 cakes for an 80th birthday party. They were both delicious & beautiful. They were easy to transport and remove from their packaging. My only wish would be to increase the ease of ordering cakes by listing what each one looks like and its unique features, on the website . I ... found that part rather frustrating. Oh my gosh, I am so glad first of all that we were able to hold on to After Thoughts. It’s truly an Abbotsford gem. Affordable prices and all homemade from scratch desserts and drinks. I don’t know what to say - everything is delicious and I have so many ... fond memories of going here (old location) with my now passed grandmother. Other times I’d go after a movie. Very disappointed. I ordered a strawberry flavored Vancouver cheesecake for my birthday few days ago, and I tipped $10 just to hoping they make my cheesecake better. It supposed to be a pink cheesecake, but they made a chocolate cake today which I don’t accept. Instead of it, they gave ... me a plain cheesecake and some strawberry purée on side because they don’t have time to make another one. I am not happy with my birthday cake, I am not happy with my $90 spent. Update to owner’s response: If you can check the camera, you will see: I ordered a strawberry favoured Vancouver cheesecake and I paid $90 in cash and said keep the change, after that I ordered 2 more pieces of coconut cheesecake and paid another $20 cash.
