Mark’s Chop Suey Restaurant - Woodstock, Ontario

We always pick up our food and take it home. When we phone in our order they tell us a time for pickup. The last 4 times we have been there 15 minutes prior to the time they tell us and it is already packed up and waiting for us. ... It is less than a 10 minute drive to get home and when we dish it up it is luke warm. The last time some if it was actually cold. I have mentioned it to them but they don't seem to care. Also they tell you that you can have different spice strength for the general chows chicken and then they charge you for it. I really enjoy their food but I'm not sure if I want to try them again. If I could give a 0 I would. I Called and I asked for help reading a menu since I didnt have my reading glasses -- they refused and blocked my number.... I am not an unreasonable person when asking for help-- they hung up on my and blocked my ... number. Marks is an excellent place to get some good food! Unfortunately I miss the days when it had an dine in restaurant. I believe it was the parents the opened the place many years ago and he has since taken over the business. Then covid hit and he closed the ... dine in part . Sad days! Really Good food. The orange chicken and chicken balls my favourite. Its a little pricy thats why its a 4 star for me but you know what? It is good food so I don’t mind that so much. I wish they had a dine in. I keep supporting them so ... one day they are able to maybe. Covid did a number on restaurants so important to be patient and wait it out to give these brick and mortar restaurant business a chance to bounce back to dine in. Read more

Food is very inconsistent. Worst part of the meal were the egg rolls, they were soggy and not much flavour. Got the dinner for 2A. Everything else was delicious and tasty. Portion sizes were good. 2 small things, I wish there was more chicken in the chicken Chow mein and the chicken ... balls were really big (delicious but smaller and more makes it easier to share 😁) Read more
