It was okkk. Beautiful space, friendly service. Food felt far from authentic Vietnamese. I’m ok with it not being spot on but it felt very Filipino to me. Lemon served with the soup, no lime. No tendon in the house special soup. The noodles were good and the broth was flavourful. The ... spring rolls felt like they were freezer burnt. The wrap seemed very dried out. Tiny rolls, like Shanghai lumpia. I don’t like the lotus root salad. The locus root felt like it was straight out of the can and the shrimp didn’t taste fresh. I’m on the fence about coming back. Friends and I met here for dinner after work. I had never eaten here before and was charmed by the beautiful interior, the murals and the gorgeous paper lanterns. Our server was very obviously working possibly his first shift but after our orders were confirmed by kitchen staff, we ... were well looked after. There were lots of vegetarian options on the menu, which was perfect for me. I ordered veggie and tofu chow mein which was delicious - large portion and steaming hot. We were greeted as we enter, we've been here several times and plenty of available tables/seats even peak hour. Service here are great compared to the one close to the outlet. They will hand their menu at your seat and take your order. We've been asked if we need extra ... bowl and cutleries as well. When we got served, the staff asked if got everything of our order which is really good to avoid missed outs, they have generous serving. The meat were juicy and tender with a balanced aroma of bbq (#43 Porkchop with meat pie and egg on the side.) I've got the deluxe pho that has a combination of rare/flank steak, tripes and meat balls with some cilantro on it. Pho tastes consistently, comforting broth, aromatic with a hint of herbs, and the noodles aren't mushy. I like their sweet potato with shrimp crepe as well but not in the photo, light and crispy fries that you would dip into the vinegar. Perfect appetizer! Ordered vermicelli special, peanut satay pho, Thai coconut coffee, che ba mau drink. The food came lightning fast, good size portions. Vermicelli and Thai coffee were spectacular! Satay pho had a good peanut broth but the satay seemed to be just chili crunch versus a good satay spice. ... The che ba mau had tapioca balls (bubble tea balls) which wasnt my favourite. Ordered takeout as it was a cold winter evening. My choice was the motherloaded bun house deluxe vermicelli. It came loaded with all the fixings. Totally delicious and filling. Also ordered a side of spring rolls. Super impressed with this place. Decor and service A1. Thanks. I will return.
