The oldest steakhouse in Winnipeg doesn’t disappoint. It’s got the old 60s charm along with the decor to go with it. You go in and immediately feel like you’re transported back in time to a high end restaurant. The steak was very good. We went here over 20 years ago and the decor is exactly as I remembered it. The food side of the menu is limited. Not much selection. However, the wine and spirits side is ridiculous. We ordered calamari to start. Nothing special considering the 18$ cost. I actually asked my ... wife if they tasted like store bought frozen. My wife ordered the New York strip loin with fries. Perfectly prepared medium rare steak. The fresh cut fries didn't seem to be. We were sure they were from frozen. I ordered the cheese burger with everything on it and onion rings. The presentation was outstanding. Visually the prettiest burger I've ordered, and I've ordered many. However, when I picked it up and started eating it completely fell apart and I had to continue with a knife and fork. Good flavor and lots to eat. I went to the washroom. Very fancy and clean but very small. Our waitress was very good but seemed disappointed when we only wanted water to drink. Everything was fine except the price. My cheese burger was 34$.
