Great first experience at The Keg. Our server was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu when we asked any questions. We really enjoyed the shrimp cocktail (not pictured), there were 5 good sized shrimp, and they were very fresh tasting for a restaurant in the Prairies. ... The prime rib was full of flavor, and I was happy that the roasted vegetables on the side were cooked perfectly. I find at some restaurants, some vegetables will be overcooked or some not cooked enough - that was not the case here. Having steaks and going to steak houses has always been that experience of indulgence, celebration and luxury and because we dont want to sear, baste and sizzle our steak at home.

Had a great anniversary dinner with our tween daughters. The menu hasn’t charged much over the years but we were happy to see our classic favourite - the Sirloin Oscar, grilled to perfection! Main reason we gave 4 vs 5 stars was because adding a chicken breast to a Caesar ... salad cost an extra $16! But sadly that’s likely due to inflation, just seems a bit over priced for a simple grilled chicken breast. Other than that the food and service was 5 Stars, and when the waitress found out it was our anniversary she brought a complementary Billy Miner Pie even without us asking, a classic favourite that never disappoints. Went for my birthday and it was awesome as usual. Never had a bad meal here. Steak was perfect and lobster was out of this world. Not to mention the awesome desert.

Tonight we ordered takeout. We started off with appetizers: calamari and stuffed mushrooms. For the entrees my hubby chose the prime rib and I had the sirloin both medium rare. The meals were hit and fresh. My steak and the prime rib were done just right. I loved the calamari. ... The dips were so tasty especially the sweet chili one.
