I was a part of a reservation in a private room, the rooms atmosphere was very nice, and quite comfortable. Our server was very kind and happy to answer any questions about the food and drinks. I ordered the escargot, it was delicious, and the rack of lamb. The flavor ... of the dish and appearance as a whole, was a work of art. I was completely satisfied with how everything was cooked, I highly recommend the lamb. A favorite of the table drink-wise was the purple reign, overall everyone really loved the cocktails, they were very tasty. It wasn't worth the price. I love a good steak and I've had some excellent steaks in my life. The steaks here were good, but not 60-100$ per person. I had the steak Neptune with the new York cut. The steak tasted good but for the cost of the meal ... the amount of crab and asparagus were not worth it. I have had meals just as good for less. The drinks are astronomically expensive. An old fashioned for 19$.... It tasted good but was not even close to the best one I've ever had. For that price I want the best tasting ever. The bananas Foster was a fun show and tasted delicious. The Salted caramel creme brule was not good at all. The custard was thick and almost jellyfish. The taste was decent but the texture was off-putting for a creme brule. The service was 5 stars across the board. If I were to come here again it would be good the service. So incredibly friendly, chatty but not intrusive. Great recommendations without being pushy. The service had a good pace from sitting down to drinks to appys, the meal, and dessert. Went here for the first time and we’re so happy we finally got to try Hy’s! Our server Marvin was great! The athmosphere was very cozy and relaxing. Price was understandly steep but it’s a once in a while kind of date night for us. We ordered cheese toast, a couple drinks, ... NY strip and Prawns and Scallops dish. Cheese toast was okay, some toasts were overdone/too crispy. The steak was cooked perfectly and it was flavourful. I originally wanted to get the Beef wellington but it only comes prepared raw!! That was quite disappointing as I’ve enjoyed this dish prepared medium rare before… unsure if more could be done to allow guests to enjoy it to at least medium rare. Moving on, the prawns and scallops dish was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had!!! I could eat 3 plateful of those. Mashed potato is simple, smooth mashed potato. Had a lovely night out recently. Enjoyed mocktails. Our server was super attentive and kind. I love tableside service. We enjoy coming here over other steakhouses because the ambiance is calming, it’s not as loud as other places, and the experience is always memorable.

Really great experience for a formal setting! We ordered everything from escargot and cheese bread and table side made ceasar salad. Steaks of course and salmon as well as a bottle of red wine and desserts. Service and ambience is what you are paying for which I have nothing to ... complain about!!
