Headingley Grill Restaurant and Catering - Winnipeg, Manitoba

A Headingley gem. Good size portions for a great value. The $25 steak special is a great deal, not many places in Winnipeg to get a large steak for that price. The service is always fast and friendly. We will continue to visit and recommend this restaurant to others.

Stopped at the Headingley Grill on our way out of the city after a long weekend of hockey on recommendations from family & hockey acquitances. We had the Whiskey Burger, the Shrimp Rice Bowl, and the Spaghetti. The burger and the rice bowl were flavourful. The spaghetti wasn't as tasty as ... others. The meals were hot and steaming. They hadn't been sitting under a warmer waiting for the server to be them to the table. We also ordered two bowls of the Apple Crisp with Ice Cream. Was very good but we like our crisp, crispy. The waitress was friendly and attentive. She was great. We were quite enjoying our evening until an older woman came to clear off the table of dishware and glassware. Her comments and attitude certainly turned us off. It was closing time but she didn't have to be rude! She was still solemn when I went to pay our bill of $95+. Never asked if we enjoyed our meal, didn't thank us for coming in, nothing! Not sure we will ever go back which is a shame as we are in the Wpg area a lot on our own or with hockey or baseball teams. On our recent visit the staff were friendly and the inside of the restaurant was nice. The food was pretty blah for the price. Nothing stood out as great and I wouldn’t reorder anything we had.(fish and chips, chicken fingers, liver and grilled chicken) I wouldnt go out of ... my way to eat here again but in an area with not many options it’s worth a try. Always a pleasure when I swing by to grab lunch! Staff is fantastic, quick service and even better food! The bacon cheeseburger came with a healthy amount of fries on the side and makes for a great go-to for lunch!

Always love going to “the grill” for a bite to eat. We love their breakfasts and their burgers are amazing. The servers are always super sweet and attentive. Gotta love a family owned and run restaurant. Oh - their pizzas are also amazing if you like q thin crispy crust.
