Sushi One - Winnipeg, Manitoba

This is our favorite sushi spot in town!! Our favorites are the bagel, Carlos, and mango fry rolls, but I've tried a lot of other items (including their Korean dishes) and they're all great!

We bought a set of sushi to take away, but did not eat in the establishment. Quite tasty. I didn't like that there was very little filling. There was so little salmon that I would not have realized that it was there if I had not seen its thin strip ... of a millimeter. The restaurant is quite clean, the restroom is also neat. Really nice little quiet and clean spot with very friendly service. Sushi is fresh and tasty. Presentation of lunch special Bento Box is lovely. Complimentary soup and dessert (an orange) is served with your lunch special. I Definitely will return here.

Sushi has taken quite a dive, fish and cream cheese is being skimped on. There wasn't even enough soy sauce in my delivery order. The sashimi pieces are small and the nigiri is very thin.

I have never eaten salmon maki where the salmon is cut into thin slices and rolled up into a scroll. Look two pieces barely had any fish. How can the chef be this DISHONEST? Have a heart man. Customers pay big bucks for quality not low grade salmon scraps ... rolled up randomly and serve. The salmon nigiri is cut at the wrong angle. Sushi chef needs to be retrained. I would never recommend this place to my friends. Google salmon maki yourself and compare it with this. You will see how they over charged and ripped me off. Also I have not seen tuna nigiri brown in colour with brown dots. Tuna nigiri is always red. What on earth are they serving here? Why is my tuna maki white? Tuna maki is always supposed to be red as well. Also most sushi shops categorize "combo" meaning it includes soup and salad for 17.99. This restaurant categorized it as combo, charged 17.99 and no sides included. Not impressed. In general: this whole order is a huge disappointmentand I regret spending my money for it. The meal was over charged, gave low grade fish, gave me stomach ache and did not satisfy my craving. Watch out! They should make it a strict korean reataurant and exclude the sushi part as they 100% need more training and not to rip off their clients!! You serve bad quality food you lose customer.
