The food here is spectacular. I’m from Toronto and my boyfriend suggested the Chicken Greek salad and eggplant and ricotta Parm… It was utterly delicious. They also added the bread knots That were so fresh and warm. The Greek salad was delicious. It had a good amount of feta- the ... chicken was seasoned and cubed perfectly. The olive oil was rich, this salad was perfect. The eggplant Was covered in delicious marinara sauce and melted cheese. Stopped in to try some pasta dishes. We tried the pesto gnocchi and chicken parm. I was having a hard time searching for a really good pesto gnocchi in Winnipeg and found it here. The sauce had great flavor and the gnocchi was nice and fluffy. The chicken parm was ... okay but the gnocchi definitely stood out a lot more. They serve a large portion of nice hot twist buns. If you are looking for delicious Italian food at an affordable price, then Monticchio’s is the place for you. We celebrated a family birthday here recently and we are already planning a return visit! We ordered the Pane Fritto for an appetizer, and it was really tasty. ... We ordered Caesar salad and the House salad, and the produce was so fresh! My husband said that he was transported to a garden in Italy when he bit into the tomato! Our entrees were: Vodka Penne, Chicken Parmesan, Cannelloni, and the Veal Medallions. All meals were delicious and portions were generous. For dessert we tried the Carrot-cake Cheesecake and the Tiramisu, and they were both delicious as well. I will definitely be coming back. It took a second to find it, but I also was distracted for a second while looking but we arrived. The food was spectacular. Great portion sizes for price, and it tasted delicious. I went with my partner and he had the Stromboli, and he had ... plenty leftover, after he and I shared garlic knots and greek salad, and I had the chicken parmigiana. Our server was super kind, she came by and kept note of our waters, and helped us a lot. The tables and chairs were amazing. The place felt cozy and personal, and it felt like i could genuinely enjoy my time with my partner. I will certainly be going back, and I can't wait til then. Read more
