Carbone Coal Fired Pizza - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Service was friendly and prompt. Caesar salad was good. Charcuterie board was definitely worth the price, compared to places like Hermanos. The wings are definitely not worth the price. They are very small and not the greatest so don't waste your time. The pizza was very very good. Would definitely try it again.

Been to a couple of the Carbone locations in Winnipeg. Food has been excellent each time. Pizza is very tasty and salad was really fresh and tasty. Service was very good as well. Recommend trying it out!

They have a really tiny menu if you want anything other than pizza. Was not terribly impressed with the hummus and bruschetta appetizer. But I got their calabrese pizza and substituted the pork salami with the all beef one and instead of olives I got banana peppers. That was such an amazing ... combination! It was sooooo good! I would go back there again just for that. But I think their pizzas only come in thin crust. I wish they had a regular thickness option, but maybe only a thin crust cooks well in the coal fired oven? Not sure. Also, their gluten free options are not gluten free, but gluten friendly. Not entirely sure what that means but if you have a serious gluten sensitivity, keep that in mind. The service is quite friendly and expedient, the atmosphere is classy and inviting. But their pizza is by far up there with some of the best I've had. The crispy texture, charred flavor, and mouth watering toppings make it a very satisfying experience. Would definitely recommend.

We're visiting Winnipeg from Ottawa and we can see this place from our hotel room. The proximity is nice since we geocache all day and don't really want to move much afterwards. Pros: - No shellfish! I'm allergic so I love having a "safe place". - The pizza is great. The type of ... pizza I'm used to eating is thick and greasy, but this one is thin and crispy in comparison. I really liked the crust. Fantastic! - Good service. - The turkey meatballs are also fantastic. I'm not sure why we didn't order them the second time we went. Poor life choices. Cons: - We were split on the wings. My girlfriend said they reminded her of her sister's lamb chops, but I thought they weren't seasoned enough. - It's pretty windy outside.
