For those who are faithful to Lenten observances of no meat on Fridays, Joey's has great Cod or "fish" as it is referred to in Newfoundland or the province known as "the Rock." Ordered the Cod and Chips. The fish was pretty well tasteless and greasy. Not kidding every mouthful was an endurance. Didnt want to waste good money so I ate most of it. Fries werent much better,,,pretty much the usual frozen fries. I saw a 5 star review praising it ....hmmm either ... he works there, owns the place or was paid...Or maybe he is mixing the place up with another restaurant. Either way. One day I was going for lunch and had I decided to give it a try and see how it is. I saw a sign saying cod bites, so I decided to give it a try. Once I opened the box I was surprised to see that I had payed ... $6.75 for 6 pieces of cod smaller then the size of a single chicken wing.
