Reviews for Kalan Restaurant in Winnipeg, Manitoba
Not very nice atmosphere but amazing Filipino food!!! I always get the Tusilog.
Bought 2 dozen spring rolls, those were good as usual. But also bought their kutsinta and was disappointed to found mold on the whole thing. No best before dates on the containers so we would have never known or suspected anything wrong until it was too late. Watch out for ... mold next time!!! Read more
We had a great lunch here! Super great food! Super friendly service! Casual dining that seems loved by locals. Thanks for helping us learn about and enjoy a variety of Filipino food!
Meal was $10.75 including tax. You get to choose 2 items plus you get soup and unlimited rice that you get yourself. I had the Binagoongan and the aloo? I think that was what it was called. Also tried the spring rolls, pork balls, peanut butter sauce thing dish. and the beef stew. Service ... was very friendly. She tried to explain what everything was to us. Not the most comfortable environment. When we went it was quite humid inside. The food was ok. It was quite greasy in some cases, though I think that might be how its supposed to be served. Read more
Great hidden little neighborhood restaurant. Great Philippines food at reasonable prices. I am hooked. Enjoy loved the Touphino garlic rice marinated pork strip and 2 eggs on top... Great
