The Yellow Deli - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Was visiting Winnipeg for business, found Yellow Deli on Google maps, a great community run deli, amazing atmosphere and ambience, this is the second Yellow Deli I have visited, the first one was in Nelson last year on a motorcycle trip. Highly recommend any Yellow Deli.

From the outside you'd never guess that there's a warm and wonderful vibe waiting for you inside. We usually go for lunch and the sandwiches or veggie burger come with chips and a huge deli pickle. Great teas and mate and the dessert we had (cream cheese cake with fresh ... strawberries) was so good I wished we hadn't shared it! Friendly, mellow folks and a little shop at front with lots of healthy/env. friendly products. Found a bamboo toothbrush for less $ than usual. A great spot! Read more

Came for lunch today and had an amazing experience. I had the turkey rancher and the deli rose and I can't decide which one was better. Their bakery is amazing as well. Service was probably the best thing of this place. Everyone working there has a great attitude and will ... go the extra mile to make sure their customers have an amazing experience. I will definitely be coming back to try a different sandwich and try more of their bakery products. They also have a small shop at the entrance of the restaurant! Read more

Have been coming here for over 7 years ....or more ....the food is delicious & homemade with love and that carry's over and shows in EVERY aspect of their business - from the food & service provided to their customers..... to the peaceful atmosphere! Beliefs and opinions aside, I was invited to this place and was impressed. The moment you enter, it’s a chic time warp to a calmer more peaceful time. The rustic style and wood all around is cabin cozy and inviting. The hosts were sweet and I use plural ... because everyone tried to make sure we were looked after. The food was home made with a farm to table belief that was simply delicious. Although not licensed to sell alcohol, their options for beverage were good.
