We really enjoyed wonderful Chinese food at this restaurant in the past and came here very often. Then----one day stopped in and found the atmosphere was quite different. Did some research and found that ownership had changed Nonetheless we ordered our usual takeout at a cost of around ... $48.00. When we arrived at home and took out the individual packages of food we found that the order had a really bad smell. Tried the chicken chow mien and it was awful. As I was trying to sample that, something sharp got stuck in my gum area. Upon further investigation I discovered that it was a piece of wire from I believe was a wire brush. Lemon chicken was hard like shoe leather and the fried shrimp was 90 percent of hard batter. Ended up throwing the whole in the garbage. Advice--Do not go there. Read more
This place "was" great, they have very bad English and if your vegetarian dont bother. Ordered mushroom fried rice and it came with pork and chicken too, when I called they said not possible and told me to bring it back and hung up. This was also delivery ... that took 1.5 hours and the debit machine also doesn't work. Please just own up to good or bad business and please try to correct it. You can't only rely on your lunch buffet. Read more
Hubby felt like a Chinese buffet today for lunch and we hadn't been back to the Wok and Roll for months. So off we went. Our first clue should have been that there were 2 people in the restaurant and this was 12:20 PM - in the past ... you had a hard time getting a seat. We ordered water and went to the buffet. The buffet isn't huge anyway - but usually had nice variety and food was good. Two of the sections were empty so had no idea what was there originally because they never got filled. The fried chicken drumsticks looked horribly greasy but I took one anyway. Ended up not eating it because it had a funky smell. The stir fried vegetables looked like some that were served 2 days ago and reheated. The onion rings were dripping in grease. They had some kind of fried mushrooms that looked disgusting. All we were able to eat was wonton soup, noodles and rice. They had something else breaded but it was so greasy too that we tried to take the coating off and the meat was not green - but not sure what it was. So didn't touch that. We had a hard time getting our water glasses filled, and dirty plates were not removed. When we went to pay we were told it was $22.50 and I asked for a discount (seniors or otherwise) because there was hardly any food and it was lukewarm. I think that's expensive for two people eating noodles and rice. The lady at the till could hardly speak English and told me there was lots of food. I didn't recognize her as the other owners all spoke English and were always bustling around the tables taking care of customers. So I asked if they were new owners, and she said they took over in November. I told her we were not happy with the food or service and that we would not come back - and she didn't seem to care - possibly there was no reaction because she didn't understand me. I am not sure. But we are never going back to this restaurant - buffet or ordering. I can't see them staying open very long as obviously others aren't happy with them either and aren't going to the restaurant. Too bad - it was nice and close and the food was great! Not any more! I would give them no stars if I could. Don't go there! Read more
Absolutely horrible!! Chicken was RAW, and they sliced it before putting it in the container (should've been noticed by their kitchen.) They are going to make people sick! would not recommend ordering from this restaurant, I certainly will not be.
Zero Stars! My husband and I took my Mom out to Wok N Roll. It was so dark in there and we were the only people in the restaurant. I did not have a good feeling about it. I should of went with my gut feeling but it ... isn't easy transporting my elderly Mom so we stayed. The consume soup was terrible but the noodles that were in the soup tasted like chemical to me. The oil must be very old and it made it taste like the food was bad. We tried the fried rice and it wasn't very good either. Then nothing came out for the longest time. The egg roll had some black stuff in them and I wasn't sure what was in them so we didn't eat them. We ordered the dinner for 4 so we had many dishes. The lemon chicken batter was raw and the chicken was overdone. We didn't want to be there any longer so we asked for take out containers. The lady brought out the containers but they felt slimy. That was the end of it. We left all the dished on the table and left. We didn't even taste the shrimp or chow mien dish. My husband told her that we didn't enjoy the food and she still charged us $60.00. Save your money and find another place. Will never go back again. Read more
