The buffet price is a steal; at just over $10 when you pay with cash, it’s an offer that’s hard to pass up. I’ll remember to bring cash next time to save those extra bucks! 05/17/2024. We had an interesting yet gross 🤢 experience. Four of us visited Phoenix Square for dinner. The restaurant is bright with clean washrooms and very friendly staff. We had the buffet which had a large selection of dishes. The buffet was kept well stocked but not overly full to ... ensure that everything was fresh. It is the first time I have been to a buffet where there is ice cream of various flavours for dessert. I’m a big fan of Rainbow ice cream and they had some. This was the best part of the evening at the restaurant. Now for the bad news. While eating the fried rice I noticed something hard in my mouth. I took it out only to find a crown of a tooth. As I had a crown put on at the dentist a day earlier I thought it was that crown. When I got home I check so did my better half only to find the crown was still in place. OMG the crown was from the Chinese food at the restaurant, yuck! Someone in the kitchen at the restaurant had a crown fall out of their mouth and I ended up in the fried rice. 🤢🤮then I my mouth! This GROSS! I noticed that the crown was gold so I took the time to weight it. It weighted about 2 grams. I believe that the gold portion of the crown was about 1 gram or around $76 USD. If you are looking for a cheap and limited menu for a buffet, this is the place. Very limited selection and dessert which is ice cream only available for dinner buffet. Their food is just alright and not the best. Some choices on their buffet can be bland and not ... much flavours to offer. There are way better Chinese restaurants than going here. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. If you want better buffet with more options including salads, fruits, cakes, ice cream, sushi, go to Buffet Square or Ye’s Buffet instead. If you are craving for a Chinese food but doesn’t want to feel so overwhelmed with the food on the buffet table, this place is perfect! They do have a limited selection of menu, but it’s understandable as their price is very reasonable. My personal favourite is their fried rice ... 😋, deep fried chicken & spare ribs (so good!), stir fried broccoli/cauliflower and sweet and sour breaded pork. You won’t go wrong coming there, not only you won’t hurt your pocket that much, but because the food was great, service is nice, and for sure you’ll leave the place with a smile and a happy belly. The interior is very standard, clean, well-set up and fancy. But that's not enough. The customer experience is absolutely noteworthy: friendly representatives checking out, cleaning the tables and making sure that you have the best visit and experience. Another very lovely thing was the representative recommending a nearby restaurant (Holy ... Spice) if we wanted something more spicy.
