I made a order on December 31st 2023. My order consisted of all beef dishes the first thing I ordered was Beef Chow Fan and the guy told me they have no beef Chow fan. He says pork I said I can not eat pork for I get an allergic ... reaction. I order beef fried rice, Beef Chop Suey, Dry breaded veal, Mixed veggies, Beef Chow Mein Chinese Style and a Consummate Soup. I had to travel quite a far way to pick it up and when I returned home only to see the beef fried rice was rice was just that rice that was hard as Rock over cooked with BBQ lean pork put on top of the rice. The Beef Chow Mein was Pork Chow Mein, the chicken balls were slapped together as the balls were under like raw goo cooked with sauce put on it. The breaded Veal was over cooked and were like hard rocks that you break a tooth on. The Beef Chop Suey was a 90% cabbage with very little celery and did find 8 bean sprouts with you guessed it BBQ lean pork on the top. I called back and said my order is all pork after I said I get an allergic reaction from pork and the lady I was taking too to which she owns this restaurant told me that is what I ordered and I said Beef and Pork do not the same words and she said that's what you ordered. I repeated Pork and Beef are totally different and this food is unacceptable and I will bring this food back as I would like a refund. She became beyond rude and said we are not giving you your money back and hung up on me I tried for one hour calling back only to be hung up on over and over. A call has been made to Manitoba Food Health Inspectors for non cooked and over cooked food they gave me also to The Manitoba/ Ontario Better Business Bureau to handle this matter for me. NEW DIAMOND Restaurant owner is a complete B...H and to say we don't give refunds is not how to conduct business, as they will learn the hard way of how you do not conduct these type of business practices. I do not recommend this business to anyone in the Winnipeg area or if visiting Winnipeg from abroad. They want to be put on the Wall Of Shame well they are now on it. This business is not worth spending your money on as I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. They give a 5 stars to write a review well they get a negative 10 stars 5 negative stars for the food and 5 negative stars for the rude owner. They are Brutal. Read more
I love the dry breaded veal and the chow mien. The fried rice is also very good. Prices went up a little recently but other places are still more expensive. Overall I am happy with everything I have ever ordered.
I tried this restaurant the other day because it was recommended to me as cheap and tasty Chinese food. I have had plenty of Chinese food before and this place peaked my interest. I was extremely disappointed in what I received! I ordered the ginger beef, spicy chicken and the Cantonese ... chow mein. All 3 dishes were absolutely disgusting and I dont usually use that word when doing a review. The "ginger beef" was boiled meat strips in a huge bowl of what I can only describe as canned gravy and vegetables, the chicken was actually in the exact same sauce, just with red chilli flakes in it. And the Cantonese chow mein was literally dollar store Raman noodles with the same gravy and boiled chicken on top. I called the restaurant to ask about this and the person I spoke to was rude and dismissive and kept repeating about how ever Chinese place as different and that his version of ginger beef (having absolutely no ginger) was perfectly fine. No refund or solution was offered. I would recommend staying far away from this restaurant. Read more
Ordered from here for the first time on a whim about a year ago as it was close and had a high rating. It really did not disappoint. It quickly became our favourite spot. Never been disappointed from any dish we have ever ordered, staff are so friendly.
