Ordered a bunch of food from there. We were super excited.. and quite hungry lol. Food was definitely not the best. At all. How can you even call these wontons?!?!? There’s like 1/4 teaspoon of filling in each. Talk about being cheap omg.. and it tasted nasty. We honestly did ... not eat any of the stuff we ordered. Just not good unfortunately I would order elsewhere. Read more

I LOVE LOVE THE FOOD. Went here randomly and were shocked how clean and nice the place look. The food was AMAZING 🤩 The price is crazy cheap for the portion size they serve. Free dessert too !!??? Say less! You have to try.

Hai Shang Restaurant is definitely one of our favourite and go-to spots now for Chinese food in Winnipeg. So glad a friend suggested and shared this gem. The food has been consistently delicious, less greasy than other Chinese restaurants and the food quality AND portions are so much better than ... many! We had a variety of dishes from egg foo yong, xiao long bao (soup dumplings - a bit dried but still flavourful), deluxe chow mien, buttered chicken (all meat NO BONES) shrimp dish, honey breaded veal, beef and broccoli and a few more. It was a delicious feast, there were 5 of us and it was about $30/per person, plus leftovers. The restaurant is clean and interior is beautifully decorated with a golden theme. Service is fast, friendly, and polite. We can’t wait to go back. Super worth it for the price! Read more

Went there for the first time. We tried soup dumplings and veg spring rolls to start. The soup dumplings were so good and the spring rolls were pretty average. For our entree, we had fried rice and chicken ( I forgot the exact name lol) it was good. The restaurant was very clean ... and washrooms were as well. Our server was very nice and professional.
