Foody Goody was a mixed experience when I visited yesterday. Driven by both a craving for Chinese buffet cuisine and nostalgia, I stepped into this establishment. However, considering the price we paid, there were a few aspects that left room for improvement. The food at Foody Goody was a bit of a ... rollercoaster. With an extensive variety to choose from, some dishes hit the mark while others missed it. The chicken, vegetables, and fried rice were decent and the soup stood out as very good. Unfortunately, the mussels, pork, and ribs were served cold and lacked flavor. On the bright side, the dessert didn’t disappoint. The service was passable but had room for improvement. While the server promptly refilled water for the other person at my table, my glass remained a quarter empty. I had to remind her to top it up. Overall, Foody Goody is an okay restaurant, but it could benefit from some renovations. Tasty food, the ambience, is great. Varieties of food for vegetarians, enough chairs and welcoming attendant. I will be here again.

Place was empty, 4 workers standing around talking to eachother walked by our table about 10 times. Didn’t bother taking the empty plates off the table. We sat here for 30 mins with a bunch of empty plates on the table. Won’t come back here terrible customer service. Train your ... workers to do their job. Couldn’t even do the bare minimum!! I used to go to goody all the time when I was younger, I remember the huge selections. Upon entering I felt it to immediately feel dirt, the glass was full of old tape, the carpets pretty dirty, and the same for the booths. The selection was ok pretty standard just felt ... everything was either fried or greasy. Some of the food I even ate tasted questionable. First time I’ve not liked the consume soup, just tasted weird. The bathroom was horrid. Sticky floor, rust and grime everywhere. Just nasty Unfortunately won’t be returning. Read more

Foody Goody has been a staple in the Winnipeg community since before I even existed. They easily have some of the best chicken in the game, possibly the city. However it's just legs, thanks inflation. They've done a really good job keeping prices down and quality up too. Its a great place for a ... casual lunch, dinner or family celebration. Read more
