Chicken fingers were good, as was the dill sauce. Service was acceptable considering it was noon. Only complaint is that my 6 piece chicken fingers should have counted as 5!
One of my favourite places in the Exchange. Good service, and great food for the price. Their fish and chips is fantastic and even comes in a cone (like it should)! Chicken fingers are also top notch, and their homemade honey dill is very yummy. French Fries (which are a ... make or break for a lot of people) are crispy and delicious. Pitas are extremely generous. During the summer they have the patio open and it's always bustling at lunch time. During the winter they have seating on the main floor and downstairs as well. If you're expecting a "dining experience" Bodegoes isn't what you're wanting. It's a lunch line owned and run by people who really care about the quality of what they're making. But it's a fantastic one in the heart of the Exchange! Top marks all around. Read more
It was the only small place we could find open at 4pm to grab a quick dinner on a Sunday. The service was poor, felt like they just wanted to scoot us out the door, it was cold out, and they left the door propped open to haul in chairs, ... and the food was really terrible :( We had a flavourless stuffed pita that was predominantly onions, nothing redeeming about it. Ate it only out of desperation in between workshops. Won't go back, and will direct workshop participants towards Subway sadly if this place is the only choice. Read more
I go 2 or 3 times a month for the chicken fingers and fries. Not the best in the city but consistently good. The fries again are not my favorite but top 3 for me. I have never had anything else but the noodle dishes certainly look interesting.
We had received two meal and movie gift certificates. Where the food was okay, the movie experience was utterly disappointing. The original certificate said three theatres that the movie could be redeemed at. After driving down the Grant Park and finding it was not redeemable there, we looked at ... the recent voucher provided after cashing in the certificate, apparently Towne 8 would be okay (according to what was written) so rushed back downtown. They couldn't redeem because of no code to scan. We went back to Bodegoes and were then informed that only redeemable at Cinamateque but they didnt provide a receipt before. The employee tried to locate our transaction earlier that evening so that they could print out a receipt and we could go to the cinema. No luck but was told that the cinema often would honour it without a receipt..."it's happened before". When talking to the cinema, they weren't impressed and we hope they will honour it another time. No time for a movie that evening, after all the madness. Not impressed with this and I won't be recommending this restaurant. Get your act together and print some new, updated certificates/vouchers.
