Zax Drive Inn - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Zax has been one of my favorite go-to places for burgers. It used to be called gbf. The name may have changed, but the food still tastes the same as it did a decade ago. The staff are lovely people as well. All in all 10/10. Will definitely go again.

Wanted to try this place as I've driven past it many times. Finally did and they had a nice special for two cheese burgers and fries. It was pretty good

1) burgers were great - consistently delicious hamburgers - note they typically come with chili, pickles etc. In a Greek style. 2) fries are really good as well 3) the service was great today. I never have a problem but exceptionally friendly and professional staff this visit.

Was pleased and even a bit impressed! The 'special' was good value for money and really tasty! Notes: -burgers had THICK patties (not my preference, but it seems the preference of most) -burgers had chili on them (we didn't ask for it, must be on every one, not my preference either but ... was good!) -burgers didn't have lettuce or tomatoes or mayonnaise -the pickles on burger were REALLY good -the buns were really good The atmosphere is very nice!
