My family and I were thoroughly impressed with the food and service at the Sterling Lyon Montana location. Our server Ethan was attentive, polite and on the ball during our entire meal. Chosen dishes for the night were the Endless Ribs and Fish & Chips respectively. To drink: ice tea, water & ... hot earl grey tea. The Endless Ribs - kudos to the kitchen. The ribs were falling off the bone, saucy and succulent. To his credit, Ethan was preemptive by continuously checking on whether another order of ribs needed to be put in with the kitchen. With both service and food prep working in tandem, it made for a seamless and enjoyable dinning experience. Indeed, the ribs were endless. Fish & Chips - I opted to split the dish with my mom. We received one fish each + chips with coleslaw. I’ve not eaten a more fresh, filling, hot and juicy fish (& chip) entrée elsewhere. Like, it was seriously good. Again, kudos to both service and the kitchen for another home run. My thanks to the staff all around for your hard work in adding a wonderful experience to our family time last week. Great job. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the staff managed to seat us in under 10 minutes, which was unexpected and appreciated.The service throughout our meal was efficient and courteous. Our orders were taken promptly, and we didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. It was a smooth ... process that allowed us to enjoy our meal without any unnecessary delays.The food itself was enjoyable. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and tasty, meeting our expectations for a pleasant dining experience. The dishes were the right temperature and served quickly, making our meal satisfying.In all, our visit to Montana's was a positive one. Today I came to know your servers are the one who decide and select the tip. Me and wife went here for dinner and when time to pay I used the scene points which I paid $40 and then he gave me the machine for taping my card with $49.00 ... more. So I asked him how can I add tip to the amount then he replied “tip is already added to the pay”. Wait what…? So, now restaurants actually started deciding how much customer pay as tip too? Out of curiosity, on the way back home in my car, I just calculated and figured he just charged me around $20 as tip. Which is over 20%. Its okay because food was good. But can’t believe server just forced tip to the bill. Not sure it something happens there often or I am missing something… Update: I went here again and they told me they going to charge my scene card $120 (12,000points) and they took whole $186 from my visa card and didn’t use any points towards pay. Came here on Wednesday around 6pm, my wife and I were seated right away and our server came right after and asks us if we want anything to drink. And we ordered a spinach dip and a large back rib to share. Everything looks good at this point. Then our ... mood was completely gone when we got our food, the pita comes with the dip was so unpleasant to look, and it tastes so oily and feels like it was deep fried in some expired oil. It is just terrible in every way. And the ribs are no better than the spinach dip, the rib is so thin and dry, I have to drink water after every bite of it. And after I finished my beer, I’ve waiting forever for our sever to come and order another one but she never showed up again, and it is not busy that time.
