I decided to go for a quick drink, wings and some nachos with my wife at Tapp's, everything started off ok but once the food was served it was quite disappointing. With 2 people at a table when the wings were dropped off on the table, I would expect ... at least a side plate to share. Next comes the Nachos, I order it with beef and it arrived without, I would have accepted it that way, however the nachos were cold and the cheese not full melted. When I told the waitress, she apologized and said she would get it fixed. After 10 more minutes of waiting, she brought back the same nachos except the second time, they were now soggy and gross, the meat tasted like day old ground beef that has been left out. I had the Cajun chicken burger. The chicken was very tender and the bun was amazingly soft and fresh. My friend had the homemade chicken fingers which they thought was great. The fries were so good we ended up ordering a plate of them to snack on. There’s a good ... selection of draught beers and, most importantly, the service was fantastic. I realize my food service at atmosphere ratings were 505 which they were. But I had to downgrade my overall rating to a three maybe even less but I’m going with a three I want to know what was up with that deep fry smell? It hit me like a ton of bricks ... when I walked in. It wasn’t even a good smell if there is one. It was somewhat Uncomfortable and when I left and got home, I had to shower and laundry my clothes. It was enough To mention it on here. But hear me out… The wings were incredible. They were hot and of course, delicious Kansas City sauced up ones were definitely my favourite between that and the hot wings. The service was second to none impeccable and spot on. They even accommodated my Negroni fetish. The Jets game was on, which was the reason why we were there, and there is no shortage of viewing angles and being able to watch the game intently or to talk amongst company. Good place for a well priced night. House lager is excellent, fry platter was yummy and only $13.99 but the nachos were on the pricier side and super meh, cheese was not melted fully.
