First AND LAST time dining with Spikes Grill. I ordered takeout for my son and I for lunch. Two taco salad wraps to go. I requested one of them be made with no tomatoes due to allergies. The server wrote no tomatoes on the order. Got the food home ... in a bag and BOTH had tomatoes in them. What’s the point of asking and alerting for allergies when the female cook there who made them doesn’t read the order?! I couldn’t eat mine. I called immediately after we got home with our food and they took my name and number and said they would make me a new one when I came in again as I did not have time to go back that day. 4 days later (today) I called to reorder the wrap and the same female cook was obnoxiously yelling over me that she made it last time and knows she didn’t put tomatoes in it!!!!! lol I told her that she in fact 100% DID put tomatoes in both wraps and I couldn’t eat mine!!! Why else would I have called about it?? Instead of just considering the fact that she DID make the mistake in her rush to get out of there right at closing time, and just remake the promised meal and keep her patrons happy, she decided to continue to yell and insist that she didn’t!! She begrudgingly argued that she would still do the remake but was clearly a KAREN who has difficulty admitting when she’s wrong and tried to make me feel bad for asking for a meal that she ruined last week by ignoring an allergy request to be remade. Too bad we have had such a disappointing first experience with a local restaurant. It was an easy fix but she was rude and in denial. I called back to tell her to not bother remaking it now because she would probably spit or do something my replacement meal. That’s how rude I felt she was, that I wouldn’t trust her cooking again. And this is not the first bad thing I have heard about the food or that female cook there! So I shouldn’t be surprised I guess. Read more
