King’s Head Pub & Eatery - Winnipeg, Manitoba

A fantastic pub with great drink specials, exceptional food and live music. We loved the age variance and fun we had.

I dined in there with bunch of my co-workers. I ordered a burger which was somewhere 18$ including tax when I got the receipt. But When I went to pay the order at the counter. The guy clicked 20% tip for every single person who paid using card without their consent. ... Imagine for bigger bills, the tip would be really bigger. This is extremely cheap way to get extra money. Tips are always customers decision. Customers have all the rights to decide if they wanna pay and how much they wanna pay the tip. Owner/server can not select tips Edit: I did contacted the pub and I got a reply saying it was gratitude that they charge 18% on the table of 8 or more. First of all it should be 18% and not 20% tip that he should select when we were paying, and second their website says they charge gratitude on table of 10 or more but we were only 8 people. This is legit scam. Would never recommend or visit this restaurant just because of this behaviour. Read more

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of King's Head Pub. It has a really great pub feel, and the addition of live music is an excellent selling point to go. I always find live music to be mixed too loud, and would appreciate if pubs made an effort to make it ... easier to listen instead of feeling like my head will explode. In any case, the service was great, the bartenders were really nice, and the food was okay, equivalent to other pub foods I've had. I hope to enjoy King's Head again soon! Read more

Didn't grab, food so can't comment on that but the atmosphere was great. There was a live cover band that played great and added to the ambience. Mainly stayed on the top floor. The only downside is the bar was somewhat busy at times and how positioned your fighting between people dancing ... to get a bevy. Read more

Great family outing. Reservation process was simple and a table was waiting for us when we arrived. Service was attentive and we were made to feel welcome. Food was delicious and beer was cold. Wonderful experience as usual.
