Sushi Hon - Winnipeg, Manitoba

We went without reservation for lunch hour and waited only for couple minutes. We were greeted as we enter and asked twice if we've been helped. Staff knows how to value their customer and attentive. Easy to order and and menu was clear. We liked the sexy salmon roll sushi ... the most due to the balanced flavor and appetizing but not the chicken and beef teriyaki (stir fry), nothings special. We got some Callamari (basic) but, there's an option for deluxe. I like the volcano roll because it hints of a rich creamy and spicy seafood vibes in your mouth. Sushi doesn't break and less of sushi rice which is great. Overall visit is 4/5. Good to dine with family and friends but limited seats for large group. Washroom is okay but toilet handle needs to be fix. Parking available (stripmall). Read more

First time trying dine in from here and really love their food and service! Workers here are very friendly and attentive, polite and courteous. Got a variety of menu items to try out. The rainbow roll is sooooo good! Shrimp tempura was crispy and fresh, sushi rolls were delicious as well! Would ... come back to try their other items! During our visit to Winnipeg, we had takeout from Sushi Hon for dinner. We ordered the Party Tray C (for 6-7 people), the Shrimp Tempura and the Assorted Sashimi. Everything was well-made and delicious. The Party Tray C has quite a few rolls that were spicy but we liked it. ... We really enjoyed the sushi pizza and our favourite rolls are the Sexy Salmon Roll, Tuna Bum Roll, Veggie Tempura Roll, Swimming Prawn Roll and California Roll. Very happy with our meal. Read more

Had an enjoyable snack right before close last night. The staff were very accommodating, they forgot 1 of the items we ordered but it's not a big deal. Food was good but not the best sushi I've had in Winnipeg. The Volcano was a little too soupy but over the ... experience was good for an evening snack. Read more
