Have eaten here before as food is generally good. But this time both of our meals were off. I had eggs and bacon; eggs were rubbery, I asked for crispy bacon and only part of it was crispy. The rye toast was so dry and hard same as hash ... brown, I couldn’t eat it. My friend had chicken fingers that tasted like fish and the garlic bread was also dry and inedible. A typical breakfast/brunch dining experience. The perogies were good but nothing special.

Place was packed. Was greeted with a warm smile by the manager. Was so friendly and was able to get a quick table at the single counter. Breakfast special under $7 and was delicious. Incredible experience! Darlene was my server this morning and I will go out of my way to visit this location just for her. Every one there seemed very friendly. Many regulars, which says a lot about a place.

Historic location known as SAL's and filled with people. This original location has an amazing display of MANITOBA MUSIC worth the visit alone. Terrifically efficient and bubbly serving staff. Huge portions which made me feel I was back in the USA with the size. But even though I had asked for really ... fried shredded potatoes I think the plate was left on the servery too long as both that and the under-buttered toast arrived cold.
