Fantastic restaurant. I was welcomed right away when I walked in and the owner was very friendly! The food came out fairly quick! The atmosphere is great! Loved the old memorabilia on the walls and loved how he had a “kids corner” so children could play and colour and what ... not! The prices are reasonable and great and food is pretty good! The two reviews on here regarding their “bad experience” never and still will never make any sense to me. But people are entitled to their judgment. It dosnt matter if you are local or not you are still greeted and certainly not left out if you are there! Also loved how much James Dean stuff he had!!! Thank you very much Rick! Best bottomless coffee in Elmwood! When you go to Big Rick's, you're not going in to eat, you're going in to join a conversation. Me and a friend went in to chat with Rick and everyone was chatting and having a good time. I probably drove past his old 1930's ford hot ... rod sign for years and never thought to go in. This is a place for locals. Walking off the street, I felt like I didn't quite fit in, but the patrons were still friendly. The eggs were cooked perfectly over easy. The perogies were very good. The sausage was a lot less salty than I was expecting it. Great for people watching ... their salt intake I tried the hash browns and they were good as well. Pricing was very reasonable. This is between a 4-5. I'm pretty sure they won't care what I give them. I gave them a 5 for what they are. It's a neighborhood place meant for the locals that have frequented it for a long time. It has a lot of character. It's cool to visit. The food we had was all good. I did read the other reviews. We were not made to wait that long. As for parking.... I went in last week after a doc. appointment. When I got a look at a few friends I hadn't seen for awhile. It was great. That was a plus right there. Rick's food was great as always (I hadn't been there for a few years) I ordered the ... standard breakfast bacon and eggs. Cooked to perfection.
