We have had several family events here and Dan is by far the best! He is beyond generous with his portions and everything is freshly made. His service as well as his staff exceeded our expectations everytime.

Great food lovingly prepared in an unpretentious setting. Neighborhood restaurant where the owner is also the cook who works in an open kitchen without any help. Pretty amazing. Portion sizes are generous. Great sauces and fresh ingredients. Four stars on food because of wine list which ... didn't include any distinctly Italian wine varietals. Four stars on atmosphere (which is absolutely charming) due to hard reflective surfaces that allowed the room to get very noisy at times. My family and I were in tonight (May 11) and were amazed with everything! Not only was the food incredible (we had the family style…delicious!!) but we couldn’t believe the chef, Dan, was doing all the cooking in his own (the place was PACKED with 2 very large parties, 2 ... parties of 13ish and a smaller table). Also, our servers were AWESOME! The 2 ladies ran the entire floor themselves, always had a smile on their face and were incredibly kind and attentive. I went here for a company event dinner. I love the deep fried mushroom caps and their penne pasta with blush sauce. I wish I had more room for dessert. I also had chicken Parmesan and bruschetta which were good as well.

Avanti is a true Windsor hidden gem. The breaded mushrooms are divine. And the pasta sauce is so fresh you’d think it was made 5 seconds before it hit the table.
