Celebrated my birthday with girlfriends on a Friday night. Only one other couple present so we felt like we were their only customers. That I loved ❤️. Felt a little rushed because the waitress was asking about dessert and I wasn’t done my dinner. But she was very nice and ... attentive ❤️ They had bread or baguette and bread but was not homemade and wanted to charge $3 dollars for another small basket of bread. No oil or garlic and bread was not warm. The meals were excellent but portions very small again (pasta is cheap). A friend of mine said she went home and ate again. I felt embarrassed because I picked this place. The meals we had were not cheap. Drinks were all good. Oh ya the other thing they charge $6 if you don’t want their home salad for caesar. WOW we were all shocked 😳. The chocolate lava cake was amazing 🥰. Hope they make some changes and then I will be back. Otherwise, Spagos is down the street and am never disappointed there ever. We stopped for drinks before our reservation at another restaurant, but were so happy with the interaction of staff at La Contessa, we decided to stay for dinner and cancelled our other restaurant reservations! The decor at the restaurant was well done. The restaurant was clean and the staff were ... really great. The food was fantastic. The restaurant was not too busy, so they were accommodating and allowed us to customize our orders from the menu, which was great. We started with the delicious Arancini, as our app and moved on to our entres. The Sachetti was incredible, and both the braised beef and cheese filled Ravioli were superb. Liam, our server was a very nice guy who was attentive, but not overwhelming or bothersome. Overall we walked out of the restaurant and decided it was a wonderful coincidence to stop there. First time at this restaurant and I have to say I was very impressed with the overall experience. Great staff (friendly, courteous, had good jokes) More importantly though, my server was constantly making sure we had service throughout the meal. They have a great menu and appropriate portion size for the price! The Arancini ... is a must have for appetizer 🤤 Of course they offer a wide selection of drinks from wines to beers.
