Quite an experience. It really is like stepping back in time. The food really is good. Very Slavic, not just Ukrainian. NOTE: you should NOT expect it to be the typical restaurant: It is run by a 90 yr young lady who does EVERYTHING, albeit at somewhat gerontological level. Be fair ... to her and call ahead a day early and let her know you would like to arrive and what you would like to eat. Do this and it will go smoothly for both of you. We had roast chicken for lunch that was tasty and picked up a walnut cake that I ordered a few days before. They definitely make the BEST walnut cake in Windsor. Highly recommended!

You can really taste the love in Anna's food. When you step into the restaurant it's like you're in grandma's dining room, the food is hardy and flavourful.

This place is a gem if you’re in the mood for authentic Ukrainian food. It looks like the restaurant decor hasn’t changed since 1929. Anna the owner is 90 years young and the sweetest lady who works hard to prepare everything from scratch. It’s a great experience. Delicious simple borscht and ... cabbage soup. The cabbage rolls and perogies are excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Call ahead if you’re taking out or if you want her to bake you a torte. Read more
