My husband and I were previously in the service industry for many years and we have noticed a drastic decline in both the quality of food and hospitality in a restaurant setting. We have a small child at home so going out for a meal is difficult and we occasionally order ... takeout. We will not be ordering from this establishment in the future. Not only was the food subpar (being generous) it was wildly overpriced and my daughter’s meal was completely uneatable. The container her applesauce came in had a large crack in it so everything in bag was covered in a sticky mess. The pasta we ordered for her was wildly overcooked and had an obscene amount of sauce on it, turning it into a mushy soup. The salmon salad we ordered should have come with dressing but was not in the bag and everything was cold. When my husband went to pick up our order he noticed that there was a single person working the entire front of house which is very strange given it’s a Saturday afternoon on a long weekend. A single person cannot run an entire restaurant successfully, no wonder our food was bad. If there is one person up front it goes without saying that the back of house is wildly understaffed. This would have been unacceptable when we were in the industry. It’s disappointing that you’re basically paying $100 for a meal that isn’t enjoyable. It feels like you’re throwing your money away.
