Stir Crazy - Windsor, Ontario

Good food if you know how to create your own heaven! The variety of ingredients is quite rich & quality is good too. However you need to be prepared for what you are getting into and have a fair idea of what sauces & meats go along my with each ... other. We did go in unplanned so my wife didn’t want to go through with the experiment. My little boy & I attempted to get it right - he went for sea food with Teriyaki & Oyster- Garlic sauces. I went for lamb, beef & sausage with Cajun & honey garlic sauces. (Going all the way lol) results were worth it! He even got an ice cream Sundae as it was the kids menu. Very nicely done! We were pleasantly surprised to find that Stir Crazy Grille is great for kids! Brittany showed us a great time for our first time there. The bottomless stir fry is a great value and there are multiple different options for kids. The service was quick and very good. I would ... definitely recommend Stir Crazy. You make up your own bowl and bring it up to the cook. There are about a dozen different spices and sauces, several different types of meat, several types of vegetable, and you can have it over noodles or rice, or neither. Went here with my fiancée had a great time! It was a pretty hot day out and we were about ten feet from the grill and the place was still cool! They were changing the meats out frequently being very careful and all of the vegetables looked fresh. Our waitress ... was very friendly and open to conversation and was always on top of our drinks. The only thing I would change would be to have a different lettuce option at the salad bar, maybe a spinach or a mixed green? Read more

Service was slow. The lighting is too dark. Our waitress told us that the kids were free today, only to say when she brought our bill that it was actually one free child per adult, so we had to pay for our third child. This should be clearly ... stated somewhere! A clown making balloon animals was advertised, but was not there during the 1, 1/2 hours we were. We were also not given the three ice cream sundaes that were supposed to come with our kids meals. After contacting the restaurant I am told that we will also not receive these desserts on a future visit. There will be no future visit. They did however handle my allergy very well, the chef cleaned a section of the grill and put up blockers while my stir-fry was cooking so there would be no contamination. Good food. Good service. Ridiculous rules. NOT VEGAN FRIENDLY. Some people have dietary restrictions and forcing patrons to pay for a dinner meal instead of a single bowl when the entire salad bar is contaminated with animal byproducts and flesh and there are no vegan options for soup it's an annoying ... waste of money. It's honestly very frustrating when this is the only local place for a stirfry type deal and there's nothing on the menu that is even remotely vegan friendly unless you want to pay for an overpriced wrap without honey mustard and cheese. Not pleased with the lack of flexibility in pricing for those that have these restrictions and especially upset with the fact that there are no substitutions given for these patrons. Can't have two bowls of stir fry to even make up for the lost soup and salad. It's not the staff's job to pay for the discounts when these situations arise either, actually it's against the Ontario employment standards act. Not pleased. Read more
