Good Time Charly Bar & Grill - Windsor, Ontario

Local dive bar that's been around for years. Popular for their cheap home brew, live music, and food specials. It's nothing special, dated and overly laid back. The service is slow and the food is nothing special. After 15 minutes of no service we went up to the bar to ... get our own drinks and menus. We had a really great server, she was on the ball and attentive. The apps we ordered were very good. My reason for not giving 5 stars is that when we got there and my friend sat down, and her chair broke and she fell right on the ground. She luckily didn’t hit ... her head and our waitress was right over. I was a little surprised when my friend received her bill, that nothing at all was comped. I definitely would have thought since she literally just sat on a chair that was put at a table to be used and ended up on the ground and could have hit her head… that a manager would at least come over and offer a free drink. We both had a rack of ribs and split a quesada. The food was fantastic, cooked perfect, off the happy hour menu. Ribs weren't over cooked, staff were amazing, every one was very nice and treated us like everday customers, even though it was our 1st time there. Absolutely recommend ... the ribs and quesada! Amazing vibe, with a dance floor and a stage to play music. They also hosted mon ami band Banda BR-401, which played a great Brazilian themed music concert and brought the place into a lively mode. My friends also ordered plenty of different meals and they all tase great, expect ... the ribs which were cold as calgary winter. This venue recently housed a Benefit for the Homeless. Entry was gained by donating a canned good and a nominal fee of 5$ for some great live entertainment for a good cause. I don't normally drink but I ordered one snd could not believe how reasonable the price ... was. The stage could be larger to showcase the bands better that are playing, they are kind of cramped up there, please build a bigger stage for future events possibly cut back from the dance floor to enable you to do so.
