Sake Sushi - Windsor, Ontario

I went here Wednesday around 6pm, with my 2 kids: 4 and 6 year old. I was cautious due to a number of negative reviews regarding service. The place was not too busy. I received excellent service...my two kids can be hard to entertain while waiting for food, but there ... were no issues. The food came quick enough, and the servers were very accommodating and pleasant. The food was very good. We had sashimi, sushi, rolls and the miso soup. I wouldn’t say it was the best ever but certainly it was above average and especially considering the price of all you can eat (for the kids it is their age=$). I definitely suggest to give this place a chance and evaluate for yourself. I will be back again and hope for the same level of service and food quality. I normally don't like sushi, but a friend said we have to try it. I was feeling daring so decided to try it. My wife and I loved it! And the service was fantastic. The staff was great and answered any questions I had. This place is all you can eat.but ... not a buffet. You order items off of a menu and they make each item to order. Read more

I have only eaten here three times. The first two times were fine, no issues, food was decent. The third and last time I went was with my fiance who loves sushi. We found the service kind of slow and the wait staff just didn't seem to care. I ordered ... the mango sushi and it was horrendous. It tasted old and the sauce was a cream sauce that also tasted it had been sitting for awhile. My gag reflexs were telling me to spit it out. My fiance also noticed, since we were sitting near the kitchen entrance was that it was very dirty. The floor, looked like it had not been swept or cleaned. Plus a major thing that turned us off is when a co-worker of his went there and found that the shrimp was not cleaned properly and still had poop inside it!! Disgusting. Amazing sushi, good price, good selection and food comes very quickly, was impressed, came with a group of 6

I am a very picky eater who doesn't eat very much. Thinking I was ordering just plain shrimp tempura I ordered two rolls. I sent it back because it wasn't what I would eat and when I asked if I could have a roll with just the shrimp and rice I ... was told by the waitress that I couldn't because they didn't want too.
