Very nice restaurant. Our server was very attentive and kind. The food was very good and I would absolutely recommend Marukin. We had gotten their salmon bento boxes, which were lovely.

We tried this restaurant for the first time tonight (Valentine's Day)! We loved it. The food is first rate! You've never had teriyaki until you've had it here! (I always thought it was that super-sweet bottled stuff!) Everything was very fresh and perfectly cooked by the very talented (and ... very busy) owner. He kept his eye on every table, making sure that each course came out on time.I had the hibachi filet mignon (with a generous serving of awesome vegetables). It was served with soup, salad and rice. My friend had the teriyaki rib eye - which was awesome! Very delicate. The server was super sweet and the restaurant atmosphere is very zen on a shoestring. Very good prices. Clean, great food, good Asian beer selection. Sapporo on tap. Service was very good. Definitely will return. They have a good variety of sushi. They have sake, plum wine, a good selection of wine, and they have lots of combo deals. The lunch special is a hearty ... meal and quite affordable at $8. They have vegetarian options and it is wheelchair accessible, though, I don't know about the washroom. I was pleasantly surprised when I went there today for the first time.
