Washington Avenue Grill - White Rock, British Columbia

First time going to WAG and I could not be more impressed. Every single server, hostess was so on the ball! Our server I think her name was Becca(?) was lovely , prompt , kind and great communication! The food was fantastic! I am quite snobby when it comes to fish due to ... growing up with fisherman. Often times the cook is very wrong. Not at the WAG , the aced the cook on the pecan crusted salmon and on the steelhead salmon my friend ordered. It was incredible ! My boyfriend got the short ribs that were a flavour bomb, the mashed potatoes were so good as well. Another got the butternut squash ravioli and the pasta was perfection! Not doughy , or too thick it was perfectly rolled ! The flavour was stunning as well. Great decor and service. The food was solid but both their Seafood Hot Pot & Curry Shrimp were a bit too sweet and lacking in spice. It'd be great if they could add additional levels of spice as an option for those dishes.

Brooklyn did not disappoint us, yep she nailed it! she is amazing. I promise you she Taste everything in the kitchen as she gives excellent ideas! Give her a thumbs up when you visit!

Our visit to WAG was very nice, the first time here for us. Our cousin recommended it and we went with them and took another cousin visiting from Ontario. 6 people in total, and everyone was happy with their orders. The only minor complaint was the yam fries appetizer. They ... were very limp, clumped, and stuck together, but still were tasty. The decor had a theme, best described as vintage, and then changed on the covered deck. The view was nice, but there was a large parking area between the building and the actual view. The server was pleasant and attentive. She took our orders in a timely manner, and the food arrived reasonably quick and hot. It wasn't very busy, so I can not comment on how things would be if it were busy. Overall, I would definitely recommend it, and we will be back to give it a try again. Read more

Fancy, old-fashioned restaurant plus cozy ambience. The curry hotpot was more like a Singaporean laksa (very nice). My family enjoyed the braised beef as well. The price is reasonable as well (not as high as some of the touristy places on West Beach). Overall highly recommended.
