The bomb-bay. My family and I have been going here for EVER. Don't go if you're in a hurry for curry; everything is scratch-made and excellent, and while you wait, you're treated to a beautiful view of Semiahmoo Bay. A true hidden jewel.
Two very friendly people run this small restaurant, and they serve up the best Indian food you can get in the Lower Mainland. Every dish is prepared from scratch (so they can adjust the heat to your preference), which is the best way to coax out the many flavours, so ... expect a moderate wait; it will be worth it. Best place for Indian food in the Greater Vancouver area, tiny little hole in the wall place that is easy to miss. Don't arrive expecting a quick meal, you will wait for the quality, while enjoying a great view. The husband wife team only keep this place open for their ... own enjoyment, they keep it small, and love to talk about their food. Hands down the best butter chicken we have ever had. I like it mild, which usually equates to no flavour, but these guys make it sing. He likes it hot, but not so hot that you can't taste the seasoning and spices, and again they do amazing. Pakora contains fresh veggies, great chutneys, sides and salads are great, and they serve Kingfisher! Located in the shadow of the iconic WAG - Washington Avenue Grill.
