We took the kids here for our first time tonight and I can say we’ll definitely be back! From the service to the delicious food it was all great! We got the family 6 pack and it was enough to feed us all. The fish was freshly cooked and perfect, ... with the batter not to heavy and greasy like most places. The fries and the tarter sauce were awesome. My kids cleaned their plates and they don’t normally when we eat fish and chips. Defiantly a place worth checking out! The owner was super nice! Have always enjoyed their fish and chips, with original German owner’s recipe of thinner batter and German beer. Very fresh cod or halibut, one of the freshest in the area. It’s nice that they also added variations of hot dog on their menu, comparable to Japa dog but ... more reasonably priced. Would recommend coming here after a nice walk along White Rock Pier, for relaxed setting and export beer plus good comfort foods. Read more

I didn't even know this place did popcorn like some of the other reviews mentioned, but I went in for fish (cod) and chips to go and was pretty well satisfied with what I got. This place is lighter on the batter than some others, but it allows the fish ... to really come through in terms of flavor. The other nice thing was that the chips actually had some flavor to them, and didn't taste bland or too salty like at some other places. I just wish the sauce cups were larger- when a two-piece order becomes three after the bonus piece, one small sauce cup isn't enough. Read more

Delicious hot dogs! They make them Japanese style with seaweed, fish flakes, and spicy sauce and they are totally delicious! The bun is toasted, the sausage is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the toppings are spot on. One of the best hotdogs I've eaten, ... would recommend. New owner is nice and really friendly, free popcorn. fish is so fresh and price is reasonable. Ordered 1 pic fish but got two and kids love their French fries so much, so different from the fries on the beach, crispy but not hard.
