Pelican Rouge Cafe - White Rock, British Columbia

I recently visited Pelican Rouge at the end of the day and desperately needed to use the bathroom. Unfortunately and very sadly the young man closing denied me access to the bathroom and insisted it was for customers only. Being a frequent flyer at this establishment I thought my request ... was a reasonable emergency He was very adamant to turn away a paying senior customer!! I had the horrible misfortune of urinating on the sidewalk Do we not have extenuating circumstances where a little compassion in this mixed up world, would serve and show a little compassion and kindness I will never step door in this heartless establishment again!! Nice and friendly staff. Decent coffee. Fresh baked in store goods. Often coming straight out of the oven as you order.

Nice little cafe to hang out, enjoy the coffee and the art pieces on the wall. Good selection of coffee, generally fast and friendly service. The food (sandwiches and pastries) are pretty standard.

It’s a great cafe and a hidden gem. I love the atmosphere and heartwarming feelings from the place. I have a good time anytime I’m here. The special drinks are well made and taste good. Very welcoming cafe, nice atmosphere with interesting wall art. Staff are super nice, a bit slow when busy, sometimes run out of certain menu items. Open mic nite most Saturdays (call ahead to check) lots of fun & good music.
