Whistler Samurai Sushi - Whistler, British Columbia

I am so disappointed in this place for a number of reasons. 1. I ordered three rolls and was charged $25 for this which is ridiculous overpriced. I am not talking specialty rolls - I’m talking California rolls and others similar to that type…basic rolls. 2. The California roll I ordered is ... pathetic - it is 99 percent rice and a ‘clipped toenails’ worth of crab meat. I’ve included a photo with the actual crab meat to rice ratio for your viewing pleasure. 3. The woman who took my order specifically asked me if I need chopsticks and soy sauce and I said ‘yes’. We got nothing. No soy sauce and no chopsticks….just disappointment after disappointment. One positive thing I will say is that their teriyaki chicken donburi is very tasty and not overly doused in teriyaki sauce which was nice….but mind you I had to eat this with my hands because there was no chopsticks or soy sauce despite the fact we actually exchanged words of needing them. Had a bowl of regular udon and salmon roll. Both food items were extremely poor in food quality and portion size. I paid 18% tip at the beginning with good quality service expection and now I regret it. No receipt was given to me, so I'm worried if I was ... even charged correctly. As a long-time sushi lover, this place greatly disappointed me and will never go back there again. Nagomi Sushi is a certainly better option than Samurai Sushi here from my experience. Read more

just went there for dinner, three dishes for $50, food was alright. one of the dishes came with tempura, but no sauce so I asked for sauce, but was told that I would have to pay extra for the tempura sauce. The fish was fresh and tasty, but... The spicy tuna roll had the dinkiest portion of fish I've ever seen in a roll. That was not the case with my salmon and avocado roll, so maybe they're just very stingy with tuna.

This super dive fast sushi spot was honestly really great! The fish was high quality and this is NOT a fine dining place. This is simply lunch or takeout.
