Went here for dinner with my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day. They offered a good prix fixed menu with a variety of different dishes, including vegetarian and gluten free choices. I ordered the beef carpaccio for my appetizer and it was ok. I’ve never had it before, but the beef was a ... little lacking in flavour even with the pepper on it. I imagine it would have been much better if paired with a wine. For our mains I had the filet mignon and she had the New York strip. Both came with seasonal vegetables and garlic mash potatoes. The potatoes were almost TOO garlicky. My filet was delicious. Her New York strip was a rather bad cut of meat having lots of tendons/veins, and more fat than I have ever seen in a New York strip. Both were cooked properly however. The desserts are still in my fridge waiting to be eaten. The reason we got our desserts to go though, is because of how long this whole night took. We made reservations for 8:30. Sat down a little after that time. Waited until 9 to get our h’orderves, another 40 minutes after that to get our appetizers, and then another 30 minutes to get our mains. We finished eating at 10:30 and had to leave because of or work schedules. I expect the place to be busy, and I expect slower than normal service, but 2 hours?!?!? You’ve got to be kidding me. And then on top of that, because it was V-day, they add the gratuity on the bill themselves. So after tax and their 18% tip they gave themselves, dinner for two with only water to drink came to $196. That is ridiculous for the slow service. Very friendly but way too slow. TLDR; decent food, friendly service, BEYOND slow. Go here not a special day or a holiday. Read more
