The Hot and Cold Cafe - Victoria, British Columbia

I had a tour at Craigdarroch Castle and passed by the restaurant on my way home. Sweet Chili Chicken Sandwich tastes amazing. Veggies were fresh. London Fog Tea is better from other tea’s I’ve tasted. Friendly staff.

Great sandwich joint. Had the curried egg salad sando, was almost too big so saved a half. We also tried the classic veggie and it’s great too. I’m not gf but did have the gf carrot cake and it was slammin’.

I’ve been here three times for the chicken soup with rice. I really enjoy it and its a great portion for the price. Cute cafe and it’s a nice vibe for cozy.

We weren’t sure if this is where we wanted to stop for lunch, but we were glad we did! The staff was very helpful and enthusiastic about our menu choices, and gave us a good timeframe for when we’d get our food. It took me way too long to try some of the sandwiches here, but now I cannot be stopped. The Creamy Almond Veggie and Sweet Chili Chicken sandwiches are so fresh and delicious, it's everything you can ask for in a sandwich. The soup and salads look very yummy as ... well, so can't wait to try them. You will find me on the outside street patio with my dog on too many days of the week. Watch out around this time of year, the beautiful tree out front, will pelt you in the head with it's little spiky green acorn thingys. Read more
