Service is good, food is decent. One thing that is definitely off putting is the tipping expectations. The suggested tips on the machine begin at 18% and get totally ridiculous after that. I've never had a problem tipping 15% for average or 20% for excellent service, but the tipping expectations ... in some restaurants has gotten obscene lately. We are making a point of not coming back to restaurants that make the problem worse. If your staff can't get by on 15% gratuities, it must be a sign they aren't being paid enough. Read more
We had an amazing and delicious dinner experience! We went there with a group of 3, one person in their early 30s, one teenager and one pre-teen. It was a great place for all of us. The sushi was just outstanding. We had heard it was one of the better ... sushi places in town, and for us there was no doubt, best sushi we had had in a long time. The service was also impeccable. Every time we needed something, before we even had a chance to ask the waiter was bringing it around (water, tea, new pair of chopsticks because someone dropped theirs, etc). Really solid sushi spot with reasonably priced rolls. We came in on a Sunday evening and were seated immediately, had very polite and friendly service. The agedashi tofu was a great starter. The karaage comes as wings instead of boneless, but they were still very good. ... Our maki rolls were reasonably priced and filling. My boyfriends mom came into town for the night on her business trip to VI and wanted sushi for dinner. We have been wanting to try this place out and we were not disappointed. I had dinner at this restaurant last night, and while the food was great, I saw one of your servers vaping inside. It was pretty off-putting and didn't seem appropriate for a dining area. I thought the management should know so they can address it.
