Side Dish Restaurant - Victoria, British Columbia

We love Persian food. We first saw Side Dish oddly located in the side of a parking garage. We had to try it and are glad we did. The best restaurant in Victoria if you want to eat Kabab with rice

As someone of Persian ethnicity, I feel comfortable stating that I have eaten at ALOT of different Persian restaurants and that this one is lacking in many areas. Lets begin with the pricing: Not sure what the earlier review that champions this establishment's value is getting at; by no means is ... this a well-priced Persian restaurant. In order to feel full you will spend roughly $20, this is slightly over double what you would pay in Vancouver, not to mention you will receive sub-par food at side-dish. For the actual quality of the food, it is edible but not really restaurant quality. the portion sizes are VERY small for Iranian cuisine; we normally try and impress people with vast amounts of food, but this was very underwhelming. This is also the first Persian restaurant I have been to that does not bring bread; odd, as this is very customary in our culture. The service was non-existant, our waitress was a ghost. The food is nice, the staff are nice and friendly

Soooo we eat here once a week. Always take out. Always beef and chicken Kabob. We are Persian and would rather eat here than make it ourselves! It's that good. Seriously the best value for your money.
