Tonight my husband and I were beyond impressed by the service, food, and kindness we received during our dinner. We showed up a little before closing, unknowingly. The server, Olivia, was delightful to talk to. She opened the doors to us knowing I had some serious food sensitivities to manage. ... She worked with me to choose the best meal and then with my husband, who has no food issues l, for him to make his best choice. The cook went above and beyond; creating the most exquisite meal I never thought possible. Both my husband and my food was AMAZING! I can't recommend this place enough! The fettucine Alfredo I had was the best pasta I've had in a long, long time. The tiramisu was so delicious and unique too. The chef told me they make their pasta and desserts in-house and it shows! The wait staff and chef were ... obviously incredible and they accommodated my dietary edit to a dish perfectly. The food and service were top tier. The vibe of the restaurant and area was very nice too. It's cozy and stylish. It's approachable, but you feel like you're treating yourself. What an amazing night we had at Artisan last weekend! I made a reservation for my birthday for 15 and then 20 people showed up! Eek! The staff there did not miss a beat - they made it work, never complained about it and they took SUCH great care of ... us. A big table like that is not easy and they made it work brilliantly. Everyone loved their food - it was delicious, well prepared and good timing. I have always said this place is a hidden gem in Victoria. It’s one of my favourite breakfast places too. I cannot comment on the food, as we recently went to Artisan Bistro in Broadmead only for coffee. It was on a Tuesday afternoon, around 2 o'clock. The restaurant was practically full. The space is pleasant, bright and cheerful, with small tables and a few booths. The coffee was good. ... Although we only had coffee, the service was excellent. Our waiter was prompt, attentive and courteous, never rushed us, even though we stayed for a couple of hours, drinking coffee and water. As for the food, I must say I glanced at the tables around us but did not find the looks or the smell of the food enticing. Went for lunch today with a friend and had a very enjoyable time! Didn't feel rushed and the service was excellent - thanks Josh! I enjoyed the 5 Spiced Prawn Salad (starter size - $16) - I felt it was enough quantity for my lunch! ... It was delicious - the prawns were so tasty! The salad was fresh and the candied pecans, mandarin pieces, fresh avocado, and lemon-thyme vinaigrette went well with the prawns. The coffee tasted great too (nice that they had oat milk) - thanks for the free refills. Lots of space - easy wheelchair accessible (although I didn't check the bathroom access).
