A beautiful facility with gorgeous architecture and interior design. Unfortunately, the wait for dinner, tea, and cocktails was so long we chose to eat all meals outside the hotel. I‘ve never been to a hotel of this class because it‘s not exactly in my price range. I only stayed for one night so I used the sauna, pool and went to the afternoon tea to get the full experience. After request they had a room available with a view over the ... harbor and it was just perfect. Staff is very friendly but doesn‘t seem forced or too friendly, classy is the word to describe it. The hotel and the Victoria Conference Center are beautiful, from outside and inside. I can highly recommend going here, even if it‘s once in a lifetime. Read more

I met THE most friendliest valet I've ever encountered in my life when I drove in to check in (though I ended up self-parking). He was very gracious, super kind and bestowed helpful check-in and parking info - so I knew I'd be in for a treat staying here. The ... hotel itself is beautifully decorated inside and out - fresh flowers, amazing chandeliers and overall nice vibes. My friend and I was impressed by how well-kept the hotel has been over the last century. There are some minor weird things like the light switch being outside of the bathroom but nothing too crazy. We got a free upgrade to the harbor view, which we appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed. Pro tip: the lively bar on the upper lobby level offers free popcorn. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The room and location was fantastic, but really what made the stay fabulous was the genuine, kind and courteous staff. From the check in staff to the bell service staff (shout out to Peter who was absolutely WONDERFUL helping us deal with some less than ... accommodating taxi drivers, he was a saint!!) the experience was wonderful. I went there with my family and stayed in the hotel for a night. The room, amenities, swimming pool and especially the location was great. The blankets and towels were super clean. We were surprised there were no bottled water in our room not even any other drinks in the ... refrigerator. I know that, to have a world without plastic is the main reason but how about offering glass jar or bottle. We had breakfast in the restaurant and there was a stain of jam on the glass of orange juice. We mentioned that and they quickly apologized and waived the cost. The service was remarkable. Public parking was also very easy to use. The time we got to hotel it was around 11am and they offered us early check -in because the room was clean and ready to use which made us so happy and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend staying there but don’t forget to get water for yourself! Read more
