Been passingby this place for quite a while now and finally I gave in and tried them. Not one regret. The food was hearty and soulful. It feels like your mom made you your own plate. Had the goat curry and beef patty.
Visited this spot for the first time over the weekend and it was definitely worth the visit! Natalie is very nice and welcoming. I had a chicken roti and it was very filling + 2 patties. I definitely recommend visiting stir it up. I plan on visiting again one day!
A charming hidden gem. Apparently this place has been around for quite some time but I've been blind walking through that little alleyway between Yates & Johnson St without noticing this place. I came in at a very bad timing when the Internet in the joint went down so I had ... to pay via e-transfer. I felt so bad that her Optik TV and music wasn't playing that cooking in silence must've bite so played some Damian Marley off my phone for Natalie. That has lifted her spirits and we chatted for a bit after closing. Reviews were right. Natalie is a real gentle soul. I'm glad I got to know a bit and that Jerk Chicken roti was fire. The service and atmosphere were great the woman working was also friendly... we only grabbed the jamacain beef patties to try. The pastry was really good, and the temperature of the patties was also good. However, we found the filling a little underwhelming, no real flavor or spice... the prices ... are fair, and the location is easy to access.. I'm definitely curious about the rest of the dishes...
