Mosi Bakery Cafe - Victoria, British Columbia

I'd like to give this quaint cafe 4 stars but it needs a few thing like enough chairs for the tables provided (both inside and outside), some shade umbrellas for the picnic tables (there is almost no shade, any where) and fix the damn air conditioner, it's been leaking water ... where the patrons sit for years now. Given how popular this location is for cyclists it's surprising how little they've done to accommodate riders (compare to The Nest Cafe for example with practical bike parking, a pump, tools and water to fill water bottles). The owner needs to step up and spend just a little bit of money that their success has gained and make the visitors experience much better. Read more

We had a great lunch followed by a great dessert. The breads and sandwiches are really great (other stuff likely is too, but we didn't have a chance to try everything). The staff were really great- one of our party had an allergy and requested that the sandwich not be ... made with cheese. The person making the sandwiches caught that and realized the pesto spread had cheese in it and called that to our attention. The gelatto was amazing. Read more

Hands down the best croissants I have ever had. And the coffee too, amazing. It’s a very busy, somewhat cramped store so not great for hanging around but it did the trick. And the food and drink kept us coming back again and again. Will make a point to stop ... there any time I’m on Victoria. - the almost cream croissants were especially to die for. Read more

Second time here. Got the “Avocado Bun on the run” breakfast sandwich (11$) It wasn’t busy at all, but it still took 10 minutes. Sandwich was meh. Took a bite when I got to my car and didn’t taste any avocado. Popped the hood and it looked as pictured. Meh. ... Baked goods looked nice though. Response to reply from owner: Thank you, just wanted to give an honest review… Didn’t seem like it was made with much love. A toasted bun and maybe some sprouts would give the sandwich a little more grip and less slip and cut down on the bread to filling ratio… Was just expecting more for an 11$ (12.50$ with tip). As for asking staff to correct the issue: I think that’s besides the point as I just reviewed what I received… I usually make my own and have a high pretty high standard, but thought I would give yours a try. It was my first time visiting. We had breakfast pizza and almond croissants. Everything was good . Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere are additional.
